The Yard Atelier (TYA) offers a two-tier membership rental status. Please see details below of our membership options and what each tier brings you.

You will become our exclusive residents in this new venture.

Full-time Membership Rental Details

Benefits:

Access to our Pattern Studio & Machine Studio is equal to 4 full days per week – we break this into sessions*, so there is a morning session and an afternoon session. More details will be provided on application.

Cost: £250 Per Month. (4WP)

Part-time Membership Rental Details

Benefits:

Access to our Pattern Studio & Machine Studio is equal to 2 full days per week – we break this into sessions*, so there is a morning session and an afternoon session. More details will be provided on application.

Cost: £125 per month (4WP)

Please note the studios are open from 10.00am till 8.00pm seven days a week.

In each membership tier we can offer 2 sessions per day; morning sessions from 10.00am – 3.00pm (MS) and afternoon sessions 3.00pm – 8.00pm (AS).

The building will close certain bank holidays throughout the year.

FAQs

  • Would I be tied into the membership scheme?

We offer a signed-up, pre-paid contract for 12 x weeks. Thereafter you can renew your contract in 12 x week blocks if space is available. We strongly advise you to initially sign-up for a longer period of time to guarantee your membership status.

  • Would I be able to guarantee a place within the Atelier?

After you have made contact with us, we will organise an informal interview process, this will ensure you are happy with the atelier and we are happy to accommodate you.

  • How do I book sessions within the studios?

We will have an on-line booking system via the website, whereby you will be able to see the times available for a 4 x week period. You will add you name to the scheduler and this will become your guaranteed time slot. Please remember you can only book your appropriate number of sessions within the 4 week period. Please cancel slots at least 24 hours beforehand.

  • Will I be able to leave my work in the studios when I am not there?

Unfortunately, we do not have the available space to accommodate our member’s work.

  • Am I insured whilst on the premises?

You will be covered for Public Liability Insurance however; we accept no responsibility for damage or theft. TYA is committed to managing Health and Safety (H&S) within the environment which includes having a designated first-aider on site. We strongly advise you to insure all your personal work and effects.

  • Will I be instructed on using the equipment within the studio?

All members will have to complete a H&S and equipment induction programme before they can use the studio.
